Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate
No Surprises Act Disclosure
Under the federal No Surprises Act, individuals who do not have health insurance or who choose not to use their insurance have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the expected cost of their health care services.
At this practice, we believe in transparency regarding the cost of therapy. If you are uninsured or choosing to pay privately, you have the right to request a written Good Faith Estimate before beginning services.
Your Good Faith Estimate will outline the anticipated cost of therapy based on the services expected to be provided. The estimate is not a bill and does not obligate you to receive treatment.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you may be eligible to dispute the charges through the federal patient-provider dispute resolution process. Generally, disputes must be initiated within 120 days of receiving the bill.
